Scrabble for fun ONLY. Bring your dictionaries, word lists and appetite for a relaxing, fun evening. Alll other rules of Scrabble are followed. Open to other games as well if you bring them and enough people attend who are interested. Always have two to four scrabble boards going.
This group is for fellow board game players who like Scrabble, Upwords, Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit and other popular board games. Sorry but we generally don't play card games using a regular deck of 52 cards, Dungeon and Dragon/Fantasy type games, chess, checkers, mahjong, backgammon or gender based games. We usually play at least one game of Scrabble before voting for the next game. We are not diehards. We don't use the challenge rule, and we use the Scrabble dictionary. NOTE: Meeting locati …

Have you seen games like Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, or Settlers of Catan on shelves and wondered what makes these games cost so much? The Ann Arbor Classics Book Group meets monthly on Sundays at 3pm on the ground floor of the UofM Michigan Union to discuss selections from Boxall's "1001 books you must read before you die." Group members vote online for monthly selections. There are dues of $1.00 for each meetup attended (to help cover the monthly meetup.com fee).
